Camp Fire (organization) - Wikipedia

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camp_Fire_USANative American culture influenced the early years of Camp Fire. Native American culture has served as the inspiration for ceremonial activities and attire, camp and council names, respect for nature and the environment, and the use of symbols by many councils. For Camp Fire, Native American symbolism was a natural outgrowth of an appreciation for differences and cultural inclusiveness. The theory was that such symbolism enabled—and even encouraged—self-reflection and personal growth.
