I would like to propose the establishment of Foxborough’s Creatives’ Council.

This extraordinary body of highly accomplished leaders – directors, educators, artists, authors, media-makers, alumni, boosters and more – has been formed to ensure that our programming is always of the highest caliber and is as inclusive and impactful as possible.
 
Most importantly, our Creatives’ Council will be in charge of providing after school enrichment opportunities and collaborations aimed at targeting healthy habits that will empower young girls.

• Girls On the Run will take place at Ahern Middle School however, it will be run through the Foxborough Recreation Department.  A documentary of the pilot will be used to propose future funding for participants through PIP. 

 In addition to highlighting future artists and writers, the council will be supported by community grants and membership fees.

The members of our Creatives’ Council hail from all around Foxborough, as far east as Summerfield and as far west as Normandy Farms. Individually, they have facilitated extraordinary opportunities for youth, coached teams, written compelling stories illuminating our town’s history and cared for the pre-k learners, and volunteered, to teach, to capture photographs, and more.
 
Nominations for representatives to participate will be based on creating a diverse range of families, local artists, and underrepresented members of our community.
